This is my recipe for Sweet Potato Casserole, when we have a big dinner, a must have is sweet potatoes,but we always make them the same way over and over again. So one day I decided to try something new, and came up with a new recipe that was a big hit with my family. I still remember the looks on the faces of my husband and children, as if they had bitten into something heavenly.
4 (29oz) cans of cut sweet potatoes
1 Cup of raisins
3/4 Cup of brown sugar
3/4 cup of sugar
1/2 all-purpose flour
1/4 cup of butter
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees. Open and drain the cans of sweet potatoes. In a large bowl, add the sweet potatoes, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and smash and mix until a texture of your liking. Add raisins, and move to oven safe casserole dish. In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, flour, and butter. Use fingers to mix until crumbly. Sprinkle crumb mixture over sweet potatoes. Bake for 30 minutes or until top is golden brown. Eat And Be Happy : )
